Soil health workshop slated March 1 at Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minnesota – West Central Tribune

— A soil health workshop will be offered Friday, March 1, at

Ridgewater College

in Willmar.

The workshop will be from 8 a.m. to noon at the college’s Ag Department, and will consist of four 35-minute blocks.

Sessions will start at 8:15 a.m., with several topics from which to choose during each block. Session topics include tillage, effect of insects “and other critters” on soil health, the effects on meat production when feeding cover crops, grazing and soil demonstrations, according to a news release from

the Kandiyohi Soil & Water Conservation District.

At 11 a.m., a Kandiyohi Farm Bureau producer panel will be conducted, and free lunch is at noon.
